1920's gallery
Before the birth of their sixth child in 1898, Max and Eva Ferschleiser came to America from Eastern Europe.

In 1922, Yetta Ferschleiser of Manhattan married Isidore Levinson, a Detroit-born furrier. The couple lived on Rivington Street (first at no. 223, then across the street, above a butcher shop at 224) in Manhattan's Lower East Side. Their daughters Sylvia and Milly were born in 1923 and 1926.
